26)) The Pirate Hunter, Richard Zacks
^ RECOMMENDED. This book is not a work of fiction, but a true story reassembled from historical documents. It's astonishing the stuff Zacks was able to track down.
Everything with me lately is pirates. Was a fan of PoTC ever since the first movie, but since Dead Man's Chest, everything has been pirates. Just finished the Zacks book, starting on The Pirates! In an Adventure with Ahab (which is already a lot better than Adventure with Scientists). Also I'm starting to get back into One Piece, which is the first anime/manga I've been seriously engaged in since.... Trigun, I s'pose.
One Piece has, for me, that "new fandom" smell. You know, when you're just starting it and working out the characters and trying to stake your claim for who's gonna end up your favorite (I'm not the only one that does that, right?). I liked Sanji right from the first, cause...well, he's just cool personified, ain't he? XD But I'm starting to think I myself am a lot more like Luffy, at least in that "why yes, I am on crack" way. Eheh.
Andwhen if I ever get my hands on some One Piece DVDs, this song will be made into a video so fast. Possibly with footage of PoTC as well.
